Shake It Off!

Some days you just need to shake off the bad and focus on the good! The Diminished Lines stencil by A Colorful Life Designs reminded me of water spray and thought it would be a perfect match for this doggy image.

I dry embossed the stencil onto Hammermill cardstock and then blended with soft green and blue inks. With the stencil still in place, I splattered with silver metallic watercolors with a fan brush, then corner chomped two ends of the panel. I stamped the dog image in the center of the panel and colored with alcohol markers.

I created second panel from black cardstock, slightly larger than the stenciled panel, and corner chomped the same corners. I glued a kraft panel to the card base, and once again, chomped the same corners. I glued the kraft panel to the cardbase and then adhered the stenciled panel to the black panel; then adhered the entire piece to the kraft panel (lots of adhering and chomping!)

Once all the layers were compiled, I added iridescent droplets around the dog image to finish off the card.
