Having fun with Distress Stains and Stencils!

Today I'm sharing a few projects I created with the Teacup Flowers Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I don't use my Distress Mica Stains enough so I thought I would try them with this fun stencil. What's neat about using sprays on stencils is that you get a 2-fer: You can then use the stencil you sprayed over by placing the inked side of the stencil onto a blank card panel to get another background! I saved those backgrounds for future projects.

Project descriptions and supplies for each card are listed below!

This cute bear and penguin are looking across the northern light sky that's all full of sparkly goodness! I dry embossed the Teacup Flowers stencil on Lawn Fawn vellum and then added iZink glitter paint over the embossed areas to add sparkle.

I used Distress Mica Stains for the first time with this card, and the card below it as well. I was afraid the stenciled image would come out blurry with the sprays but to my surprise, it held the design! I have seen other cardmakes use sprays through stencils with much success so I gave it a try and love how these came out!

I created an infinity shaker with one of the Distress Mica Stains stenciled backgrounds and ink-blended similar ink colors to the sides of the panel. I added a Word die from Simon Says Stamp and added some fun Deck the Halls Sparkle Blends for the shaker bits!
